Because Brut, baby! Combining K Shave Worx Shaping Up #soap and the original, classic Brut #aftershave, #deo and yes - #EdT!

My (Kelly) Dad requested a Brut scented soap so this is our take on that classic scent. Every morning when my Dad gets ready for the day and goes to shave he has always said "I'm going to shape up" so my nieces and nephew said we had to name this soap Shaping Up! When my nieces smelled it- they said it smells just like Grandpa Tony. I love the way a scent can trigger all sorts of memories and this soap makes me think of my Dad.

I actually did a SOTD/review of this combo already along with this follow-up review with more on the aftershave... So I won't repeat that all here. Though it's odd; I know I've used the EdT in a SOTD before and I knew I took a picture. Must've been one of those "I'll post that on a rainy day" ones. At any rate, here's the Brut Eau de Toilette! Yes, you heard that right. I got it, literally (well almost) in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Also known as the Açores (Azores). I had a feeling it might be popular, so I picked up three more bottles just like it, complete w/boxes. I might be inclined to let two of them go.

Long story short, this stuff is legit. Everything you know and love about Brut but stronger and much, much longer lasting. I'd peg the longevity at a good 6+ hours, easily (this is reflected in the chart above). This is truly the missing piece of the puzzle and my heart was filled with glee when I came across it. Unlike the (now) plastic containers of Brut in America, this is all-glass, like they used to be - with a nice sprayer and cap. It comes in a green box too. Fairly upscale, no? But don't get carried away; the product itself has clear labels on it. But none of that matters, because Brut!

I used the Brut aftershave, but it isn't pictured above. Rather than the usual cologne, I used the EdT.

For the razor, I broke out the #TimelessRazor #TRBR38 bronze beauty with a #PolSilver blade on shave who knows. Time for a new one, clearly - this one was a bit weak. In fact, for the middle pass (of three) I used the Mühle R41 as the first one didn't fill me with hope. Finished off again with this razor and then it was off to the races. The result was a DFS indeed. The #LowbornSupply brush matched the green of Brut and orange of Shaping Up and the brass razor nicely, and the 24mm BOSS knot worked up a fine lather. The #GTP scuttle soldiered on for another shave!

A lovely shave with the God-tier fragrance that is Brut (I jest, but who doesn't love it?). The software all performed well, the hardware as well. Happy camper, over and out.
